April 8th 2012 will mark the start of the memorial cruise starting at Southampton, heading first to the Cherbourg where the tenders nomadic (1st Class) and Traffic brought passangers to the Titanic. Then to Cobh (then Queenstown), which was the Titanic’s last port of call. The Balmoral will be following the exact path the Titanic took 100 years ago. The 10th April 2012 will mark the exact day the Titanic set sail from Southampton. On 14th/15th April the Balmoral will be over the Titanic wreck site, where services will be held in memory of those who lost their lives in 1912. The cruise will continue to Halifax Canada where many of those who lost their lives are buried. Balmoral is due to arrive in New York on the 18th April 2012.
During the journey the passengers can experience what it would have been like on the Titanic by dressing in period costumes, eating and drinking food of that era. Philip Littlejohn will be a guest speaker during the cruise.
